Ali's POV

"Shawn we're gonna be late if you don't hurry up!" I opened the door to the bathroom and yelled to Shawn over the roar of the shower.

Shawn's wet face peeked out from the side of the curtain.

"I'll be out in a second." He said, closing the curtain so hard it flung open on the other side.

I rolled my eyes as I closed the door.

I had dressed up to go out to dinner with Kristen and her dad. My black leggings provided some warmth, along with a maroon high waisted skirt to match my gray long sleeved crop top. I curled my hair and added a cute black headband. For shoes, I just slipped on some tan ankle boots. My diamond earrings sparkled. The locket from Shawn hung around my neck. I had the bracelets I usually wear on my wrists, and of course, the beautiful engagement ring that I rarely took off.

I heard the shower turn off.

A few moments later, Shawn walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist.

His slightly dried hair was sticking up in every direction and water dripped down his chest.

Oh he is so beautiful, he's painful to look at. Shawn caught my eye and walked towards me. He put his hand on my thigh, and leaned close to my face.

"You look beautiful." He complimented me, kissing me on the cheek.

Water dripped from his hair onto my forehead and nose.

"So do you." I blurted out.

Shawn laughed. "I'm not even dressed yet."

I shrugged, "It's okay."

"I have to put clothes on, it's freezing outside."

I covered his hand with mine.

"Okay, go get dressed and hurry before we're late!" I rushed him.

Shawn disappeared into the closet and came out a couple minutes later. He was wearing dark jeans and a light blue long sleeved shirt.

"You ready?" He asked me, sitting next to me on the bed so he could tie his black sneakers.

"Yep."

[After dinner]

We got home around 8 o'clock and I was so tired! Shawn unlocked the front door with one hand, and held his arm around me with the other. We walked through the dark house, not bothering to turn on any lights. The cold from outside made me shiver. Shawn's hand rubbed up and down my arm.

At the top of the stairs, I leaned heavily against Shawn. Shawn stopped and swooped me up into his arms. I felt his biceps flexed against my back and underneath my knees. I leaned my head against his toned chest. I felt a light kiss on the top of my head.

Shawn gently placed me down on the soft comforter. He disappeared into the bathroom and I began to undress. I pulled everything off except my underwear. I wandered to the closet to find a big shirt I could wear. When Shawn was finished in the bathroom, I quickly did my business.

When I came back into the bedroom, Shawn was laying on his stomach, with his face tucked in his folded arms. He was wearing only navy blue sweatpants. I lightly ran my fingertips along his spine. I felt him shudder but he didn't move his head. The muscles underneath my palm tightened. I leaned down and lightly brushed my lips against the soft skin between his shoulder blades. That got his attention and he turned towards me.

I smiled down at him and he gestured for me to come closer. I sat on the edge of the bed but Shawn pulled me closer.

Shawn pressed his lips against my shoulder and I curled against his body as he moved underneath the covers.
