Explaining

After about ten minutes of waiting, my exhaustion took over, and I fell asleep. I opened my eyes, and it was dark. 'I must've slept all day' I thought. I wanted to go back to sleep, but I wasn't tired at all, so I got up.  Usually, when I can't sleep, I go to the beach to think, so that night, that's exactly where I went. I snuck silently through the kitchen and out the backdoor, and made my way through the garden path. When I finally made it to the beach, I jumped the sand dunes and looked out towards the water. To my surprise, someone had the same idea as me.

Aang was sitting on the water's edge, mindlessly bending water into weird shapes while he appeared to be thinking. I walked over and sat down next to him in the sand. "Hey." I said quietly. He shook his head lightly, as if coming out of a trance and gave me a tired smile. "Hey, Jinora." He answered. There was a short silence between us."Do you always come here to think?" I asked him, looking out at the moon-light water. "I have many places to think, and this is one of them." He answered quietly. I wanted to tell him that this is where I always come to think, but then I remembered something. "Did you talk to your past lives." I asked calmly.

He nodded and said, "Yes, and there's some good news, and some bad news." He looked at me, which was implying that he was asking me if  he could begin. I nodded. "Good news: You can tell me anything you want, where your from, what time line, who your family is and stuff like that. But the bad news is....well first, they don't know how to get you back home, but they do know it is possible. The second is that, I, well anyone in this timeline won't remember you once you find your way back home. All they said was, 'When the time is right, you will again remember her, but only then.' But other then that, that was it." He explained.

I took a second to think about and analyze the situation. I noticed that the sun was coming up, and I had an idea. "Well for right now I think our best option is to go back, and wait for everyone to wake up. Then I can tell everyone, including Gra...I mean Katara and the kids and you my story." He nodded. "Your a smart kid, you know that, and yes I thin...wait how do you know my wife's name?" He asked suddenly confused. I giggled. "I'll explain later." He looked at me questionably, with a smirk. We both got up and made our way back to the main house. As we reached the sand dunes (which marked the end of the beach) I looked over my shoulder, and took in the ocean. 'This is going to be a long day' I thought. I looked back at the house and Aang and I quietly made our way back inside.
