The Protector (sokka x reader)

Time to be Lady-Like

after last night i seemed to calm down and sokka and i actually started talking again like we used to.

we're all just lounging around in the living room.

katara came out of another room yawning and then went and checked the mail box.

she had a roll of paper and was reading it.

"i got it! i know how we're going to see the earth king!"
"how are we supposed to do that?" toph asked

"one doesn't just pop in on the earth king!" i said mocking joo dee

"the king is having a party at the palace tonight for his pet bear."
"you mean, platypus bear?" aang asked
"no, it just says bear"

"certainly you mean his pet skunk bear." sokka said sitting upside down
"or his armadillo bear?" toph asked
"or gopher bear?" i said

"just bear..." katara said
"weird." i said narrowing my eyes
"this place is weird." toph said

katara gained her excitement back

"the palace is going to be packed. we can sneak in with the crowd!"
"won't work." toph said
"why not?"

"because parties this high of class will be very secure, one, we're adult-less kids, two, and finally we probably need invitations." i said tossing a grape into my mouth

"don't forget their poor manners! a real society crowd will spot them miles away." toph said

"mm yes they have terrible manners, katara maybe...can pass."

"excuse me?! you two aren't exactly "lady fancy-fingers'" katara said clearly offended
"i don't know when we were in the carriage y/n was sitting all up right and had her hands in her lap. she looked fancy to me." sokka said

he noticed that? embarrassing. i cant believe i was sitting like that.

"i learned proper society behavior and chose to leave it." toph said
"same here."
"you haven't totally given it up."
"sorry i don't pick my nose and toes."

"anyways, katara you've never learned anything. and frankly, it's a little too late"

toph then picked her nose and flicked it.

okay i know i hate manners but my goodness that is so disgusting.

i almost gagged

"aha! but you two learned it! you could teach us!" sokka said
"yeah i'm mastering every element. how hard can manners be?"

aang walked over to a curtain and wrapped it around himself like a noble's robe.

in a "sophisticated" voice aang said, "good evening, mr. sokka water tribe, ms. katara water tribe, lord momo of the momo dynasty. your momo-ness."

sokka copied aang with the robe and voice
"avatar aang, how do you do? go on."

the two goofballs got into a bowing fight and then they bowed at the same time bonking heads

"you deserved that." i said laughing

"katara might be able to pull it off, but you two would be lucky to pass as busboys"

sokka and aang still had the curtains on them

"but i feel so fancy!"

toph's nasty ass booger then fell on sokka's face

"omg that's so disgusting!" i said running turning away gagging
