A couple of days later, a storm was brewing as the Beacon Hills cross country team head towards a meet on the desert highway.
Boyd and Isaac were sitting together and Boyd had a serious look on his face
"Stop thinking about it man." Isaac said
"Like you're not thinking about it too." Boyd said
"Well stop thinking about it." Isaac said
Boyd shook his head, "I can't."
Isaac sighed and said, "Well there's nothing you can do about it either."
"You sure about that?" Boyd asked as he stared at Ethan who was sitting with Danny.
Ethan looked towards the back of the bus where Scott was leaning on the window looking really pale and Maddie was leaning on Tasha's shoulder also looking really pale.
The bus then went over a bump in the road and Scott and Maddie winced in pain
"Oh, buddy you okay? Maddie?" Stiles and Tasha shared a look and they started to worry, "We shouldn't have come I knew it we shouldn't have come."
"We had to there's safety in numbers." Maddie said just after she winced in pain again
Stiles nodded, "Yeah well there's also death in numbers okay? It's called a massacre, or bloodbath, carnage, slaughter, butchery." Maddie and Scott groaned in pain again
"All right Maddie, Scott I'm telling coach that we-"
Maddie cut Tasha off saying, "No, no, no I'm all right."
"Well you both don't look all right... would you just let us see it?" Stiles asked
"Stiles... we're okay." Scott said
"Just let us see it okay?" Tasha asked
Maddie nodded and lifted up her shirt and showed Tasha the deep claw marks that were on her stomach.
Tasha looked over to Stiles and he nodded to say that Scott had the same thing
