When Stella told Stefan she would save him, he knew she meant it. But would she be able to pull it off? He didn't know. Why would she? She had a peaceful life, she didn't owe him anything so there was no reason for her to care nor worry about the green-eyed vampire. But, Stella did keep her promise. She had asked a friend of hers, who was also a vampire to help her find Stefan. It took them a few hours to find him but, they did. Stella had lots and lots of blood bags, just in case. She hoped he wouldn't open her artery. Derek had stayed to check on her just in case Stefan would get out of control.
It took Stefan forty five minutes to wake up. Stella just stared at the man. He was indeed as handsome as he looked in her dreams. "He could be good for you, you know" Derek spoke from beside her. She took a deep breath. "I don't know, Der. I mean he's a vampire and I'm a witch. Two completely different people. Besides, we would never work" she stated with a defeated look. She didn't see Stefan that way, right? She thought to herself. After forty five minutes he was finally awake. Derek put Stella behind him, just in case. Stefan looked around frantically. He saw the blood bags and instantly began to drink, hungrily. Stella figured he'd be hungry and she was right.
Stefan was confused. Who was the man? Since he was too focused on the man he didn't notice the other heartbeat. He rushed toward Derek who pushed him off as soon as he got close enough to him. He was about to rushed towards him but stopped as soon as he saw Stella poke her head out from behind Derek. His vampire face fade away as soon as he laid eyes on the blonde woman. She stood shyly. Stefan began to walk over to her but Derek cut him off, fearing the vampire might attack her. Finally, Stella raised her gaze towards Stefan. "Hello, Stefan" the green eyed vampire smiled at her. "Stella" he whispered but she heard him.

Stella was happy, excited, and nervous all at the same time. She smiled as he looked at her. She had a bright and wide smile, despite feeling nervous.

At that moment if was just Stefan Salvatore and Stella Carter. Derek was sure they had forgotten all about him. He could've sworn they did. Slowly they both made their way towards each other. They both stopped a few feet away from each other. Stefan didn't want to hug her because he thought she might not want to, but Stella Carter had other plans. She ran to hug him, catching him off guard but returning the hug as soon as he composed himself.

He felt complete. Happy. Loved. Stella felt relieved. She did it. She found him. She saved him. "See. I told you I would save you, and I did" she whispered in his ear. "That you did, Stella Carter. That you did" he replied before kissing the top of her head with a big smile on his face.
