Bisky glared at both her son's as they sat staring down at their hands. "What did I say about asking questions." The blonde woman asked darkly. Leorio and kurapika glanced at one another before leorio spoke up. "To.. Not ask..?.." Anger flared in her eyes. "That's right!" She screeched pointed a finger at the two. "I said give them space! And what did you do! You did exactly what I said NOT to do!" Bisky felt like she was talking to a wall, both boys didn't make any noice only stared at their hands guilt ridden.

She took a deep breath and walked over, sitting at the head of the table.

"Okay, listen, I guess this is partly my fault. But I thought you two could keep out of trouble for at least the first day," she said honestly.

They both shrugged sheepishly, still confused.

Bisky rubbed her temples and groaned.

"What did you ask him?" She asked wearily.

Kurapika took that one. "What i wanted to earlier, about the first house he was…. Removed from…." He trailed off quietly as he remembered what Killua had answers to his question.

Honestly this was all his fault.

Bisky gave him a sharp look.

"You did not consider that maybe I didn't want you to ask him that for a reason?"

Kurapika looked down, now guilty.

Bisky sighed, and put her hands together on the table.

"Alright, suppose I should have this conversation now. Those two didn't have anything like the experience you two had in the system. Honestly, you two were lucky, and those two are probably the exact opposite."

Leorio and Kurapika stared at her in wide eyed confusion.

"How do you mean?" Kurapika asked.

Bisky got a sad look in her eyes and shook her head. "The reason Killua was put into the system in the first place was because his family was abusive to him and his sister, who he got separated from shortly after."

Leorio's mouth opened slightly and Kurapika's expression grew into one of shock and sadness.

"Gon lost his aunt. The reason for their both being in the hospital is because their last house was so bad that's where it landed them." She curled her hand into a fist on the table, "Killua…honestly I can't believe that kid even has a will left in him. His first homes didn't want him just because they were scared of him due to him having albinism. The next couple thought his mental state was too fragile and after that almost everyone was another abusive home. Which is a disgrace considering it happened to him so many times."

They both nodded, processing the information.

Kurapika looked up curiously.

"You read their files?"

Bisky tilted her head side to side in a 'sort of' manner.

"I've read Gon's. I'm nowhere near done with Killua's."

Kurapika tilted his head thoughtfully, causing Bisky to sighed once more.

"Hold on," she said, standing up and walking over to a filing cabinet on the wall.

She rummaged around for a minute before walking back over with many thick folders.

She set a thin, normal sized folder just to the left of her.

"This one's Gon's."

She placed three 1-inch thick folders on the right.

"These are Killua's."

Leorio gawked. "All of them?"

She nodded briskly. "You don't go through all those houses and not have reasons. I've only gotten to about his third house."

Kurapika grit their teeth. "So you haven't got to the first one he was taken out of?"

Bisky raised an eyebrow cautiously. "No, why?"

Kurapika lowered their head and told her the just of what the albino told them.

Bisky didn't even realise she'd lifted her hand to her lips with a small gasp.

"My gosh it would've been nice if they told me about that." She snapped out bitterly.

She sighed. Today had been one hell of a day. Just as she was about to stand up again she noticed gon and killua helping one another to their room as quietly as possible. 'That friendship will definitely blossom into something extraordinary..' She thought as she smiled. Turning back to the other boys she clapped her hands together getting their attention. "Alright let's eat. We'll have to save something for the other two. I don't think they will be too interested in eating with us tonight." She spoke her voice holding no judgement.

That night the three ate in silence subconsciously listening for the other two boys. But nothing ever came. Not even the squeak of the beds were heard. They knew they had to make it up to them. Especially to killua, Although. Gon was pissed when he saw kurapika touch killua. The blonde boy couldn't help but feel like that would be their down fall. Deep down he knew that was wrong. But something was off with them. And not in the way that was Obvious.

It was something deeper then what they had witnessed today. Something that hasn't happened yet. Or it is happening. They just haven't realized it yet.. A sudden tap on kuapika's shoulder was enough to pull him out of his thoughts. Looking at Loerio who had touched him. "Don't think to hard you might hurt yourself." He smirked at the blonde. Kurapika scuffed. "As if. I'm not you, Leorio." Leorio let out an offended noice before starting a mini world war ll with kurapika.

Killua and gon laid on the twin bed soundlessly. "Are you sure you're okay?" Gon asked for what felt the thousandth time. Killua groaned quietly turning away from gon to face the wall. "For the last time i'm fine gon" he paused. "Stop worrying so much." He stated leaving no room for argument. But gon couldn't help but worry. It took a bit longer to get killua out of his daze then normal, that was honestly scary. Killua never took more then 10-20 seconds before he came back unless they were with someone who hurt killua or gon. This time it took 46 seconds. Gon had been counting. Even if that hurt his head. This was honestly getting out of hand. But killua said that it wasn't anything to worry about he was probably remembering something he would rather not.

Gon didn't believe him. Something was definitely wrong. "Gon. I can hear you thinking from here. Stop." Killua's sudden voice knocked the other boy right out of his thoughts. "Sorry killua.. I'm just thinking.." He spoke laughing lightly. "That's a scary thought.." Killua spoke his voice held amusement and a hint of seriousness. "Killuuuuuaaaa dont be so mean!!" Gon turned to killua and softly hit his back. Both boys laughed quietly, calming down after a few moments. "Really gon. There isn't anything to worry about. I'm fine. I promise." Gon gave killua disbelieving look, even though the white haired male wasn't looking his way. "Okay.. But I still want you to be careful.." He got an annoyed huff instead of a straight forward reply. Gon hated when killua did that. Disregarded his own feelings and or health. Gon knew killua would say he's fine even when hes not. So this.. Could be worse then what gon was thinking. Much much worse..
