[Light POV]
L, I will hunt you down wherever you're hiding and I will eliminate you.
I am justice
I hear a knock on my door, so I quickly hide the notebook and open the door
"Light!" said [Y/N]
"[Y/N]!" I respond.
Since he has a fascination with cold cases I can imagine what he wants to talk with me about
"Sooo, what are your thoughts?" he says as he belly flops onto my bed
"Well, I'm not too sure. For one I can tell that L is a heartless investigator. He's not doing this for justice but just to occupy his time." I scoff.
I wasn't completely lying. He just sacrificed a human life!
Sure he was a criminal but it just shows how little he cares about people's "well being"
"Yeah, I agree-"
"Well, well won't you look at this. Looks like you could have yourself a partner in crime Light." Said Ryuk; that damn Shinigami. He's so loud I can't even hear what [Y/N] is saying
"But in the end he still decided to help instead of just watch, or even worse do nothing! That's a lot more than you and I can say-" [Y/N] continues
I know that he doesn't care one way or the other, so it would be pointless to recruit or dispose of him. Not to mention he may come in handy, he's very smart when it comes to out playing someone.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. I mean you and I are just observers right now, so all we can do is sit and watch" I say letting out a small laugh at the end.
"I know, but I guess it would be cool if we could help catch Kira, I mean then we would be apart of literally fucking history!" He whines.
"I don't get it [Y/N], you've never wanted to be a detective or police officer, so why put your life on the line when you can make history a different way?" I question him
"You're right, I want to own a bakery for hell's sake! But, I guess this is more exciting than just decorating cakes all day"
"Well I am tired, and we don't have school tomorrow so I'll leave you alone now." He says as he walks out of my room and into his own, closing the door behind himself
"Well Light what are you going to do with him?" Ryuk asks
"Nothing. I knew that's what he would say, he's always hated being bored. He's no threat, just a possible asset." I explain to him
"Wow Light, to think you would use your own twin brother." Ryuk snickers
"It's either, I use him or I kill him. And I much prefer the former to the ladder"
[Y/N POV]
[Timeskip- Two days]
Dad was able to join us at dinner tonight.
"So Light, [Y/N], tell me. How are your studies going?" Dad askes
"Everythings alright." Light says
"Yeah nothing too major." I follow
"Whatever, They're both near the top of their class, my brothers are geniuses!" Sayu responds
Sayu always makes sure that I feel that me and Light are on the same level. She knows that I'm not too good with paper smarts, but when it comes to practically everything else I might as well be god. She's even told me that she thinks I'm smarter than Light!
"That's my boys, I'm proud of you Light, you too [Y/N]!" Mom replies
"You alright dad? You look tired" Light questions
