(2) Aftermath

^Katherine Halston (Jordan's mother) Lincoln Halston (Jordan's Stepfather.) Morris Clayton (Jordan's father) Maggie Clayton (Jordan's stepmother). Dr James Barnes Dr Rebecca Barnes Dr Benjamin Barnes and Winnie Barnes.^

Winnie picked up Bucky from school an hour later since the police couldn't assess the scene with all of them there.

"Hey mom. I thought dad was coming." He said as he got in the car.

"No he called me. He got paged downstairs to the ER. What happened? Why are they sending you all home so early." She said 

"I don't know. They had a code blue situation." He said 

"Well I'm just gonna have to drop you off at home. I have to get back to the office make sure your sisters get off the bus. I texted Braelynn to tell her to come straight home as well." Winnie said 

"Mom I'm 14. She can go hang out with her boyfriend.." he said 

"I know how old you are. But Brady has football training this afternoon." She said 

"So I'm stuck watching the twins." He said 

"Honey I know you hate watching your little sisters. But they are 11 and they practically take care of themselves. But you still have to watch them..maybe you can be a nice big brother for once." Winnie said 

"Whatever mom." He said as the conversation went quiet. 

Katherine came running into the ER with her husband. 

"Can we help you?" The nurse said

"My baby. My baby girl Jordan Clayton.." she said frantically.

"Katherine." Dr James Barnes said 

"James..where is my baby? Please tell me she is alright.." she said with tears in her eyes.

"Come with me." James said 

"Morris is on a plane right now." She said 

"Breathe Katherine." Lincoln said 

"Don't you tell me to breathe my baby is in the hospital." She said to her husband.

James took them into a private waiting area. 

"So here is the deal. Jordan suffered multiple injuries a broken arm bruises to the face lacerations to the face and head. She has a concussion a fractured skull in the back. As well as her eye brow and cheek bone. Bruises to her stomach. This wasn't done by one person this was done by multiple people. She will recover and but it's going to be awhile and she will have some scaring on her face." James said 

Katherine looked down. "Who would hurt my baby like this?" She said as she began to cry. 

Bucky was scrolling through his Facebook as he endured some show his little sisters Kaylee and Kamryn were watching.

"Has anyone heard about what happened at school?" a student from their school posted. 

Bucky began to read through the comments. Brady came through the door around 7 with pizza and wings. 

"Thank god." Bucky said 

"Hey I didn't act like that when you were younger." Brady said 

"Because I'm a boy." He said as he stacked his plate. 

Later that night Bucky was doing his homework when he heard his dad come in. He snuck down the hall when he heard his parents talking. 

"What was the big emergency?" Winnie said 

"Katherine's daughter Jordan was attacked at school and left barely conscious in the bathroom of the school." James said 

"What? Is that why they sent everyone at the middle school home." Winnie said 

"Yes. Police are trying to figure out who the group of girls are that did this?" James said 

Bucky swallowed hard as he sat in the hall. The next day he used a Uber to get to the hospital since they weren't allowed to go back to school yet. He snuck into the hospital and found her on the ICU floor. 

Her parents were gone so he quietly snuck into the room. She had stitches a ventilator a cast on her left arm. 

"Holy shit.." he whispered as he walked over to her. 

He saw her stitches along the side of her face and her hair line at the top of her forehead. He saw the ones in her scalp. He quickly left and went back home hoping it wasn't any of his friends. 

After three days she finally started to come to. Both Katherine and Morris were on either side of her bed. 

"Daddy.." she whispered 

"Hey boo bear. You are awake." He said as he kissed her hand. 

"Hey my baby girl.." Katherine said 

"Don't move your head a lot baby you have a lot stitches." Morris said 

James came in with his two oldest kids that worked on her as well. They informed her of everything. The police also came in and she gave them her full statement including the day Bucky rejected her. 

That night Bucky and half his group of friends was arrested. After spending the night in jail they were all interrogated. Morris was at the station while Katherine stayed at the hospital. 

"So he rejects her and humiliated her. And his little girlfriend added insult to injury Mr Collins added more to the fire. And those four girls finished it off." Morris said 

"I want to press charges." Morris said 

"Okay.." the detective said 

That night it was just Morris and Jordan. "Daddy I want to come home with you to LA." She whispered 

"Boo bear nothing would make me happier than you have back in LA. But that is something we need to talk to your mama about." He said 

"Daddy please don't make me stay here. It could happen again what if the ones that weren't involved would retaliate now." She said 

"Okay okay. Calm down my baby I will talk to your mother." He said as he kissed her hand.

Two weeks later 

Jordan made her way to LA with her stepmother who flew out to NY to help her. Jordan knew her parents pressed charges. She didn't know how bad it would be for them. James was less than thrilled that his son was involved not only that but Bucky along with his friends even the ones not involved in the accident were kicked out of St Mary's. 

They violated the no harassment policy that was in the student handbook.
