Sometimes love...

Sometimes love burns so bright
Our eyes can barely handle the light
The light so powerful and strong
That we think nothing could go wrong

Sometimes love burns for eternity
But we will never have that certainty
Certainty that it will last
Or that it will burn out fast

Sometimes love burns out with time
Or goes silent like an abondoned mine
Us never truly knowing why
Mostly starting with only one lie

Sometimes love burns into ashes
Like a deadly knife that lashes
Cutting through the flesh
And unmolding a perfect mesh

Sometimes love pushes the other one away
But all we want to do is stay
Stay and fight through it
And we are always wondering what we did

Sometimes love pulls us together
Which makes us stronger and better
Shaping us into perfection
Giving us  that perfect satisfaction

Sometimes love causes pain
And that leaves a stain
A stain that will leave an imprint
And on our soul a scar thats permanent

Sometimes love causes us to be sad
And that makes us all a little mad
Making us lose our mind
And that once again we must find

Sometimes love makes us happy
And sometimes even sappy
Butterflies flying in our soul
Forming into a perfect ball

Sometimes love will last
Or it will burn out fast
Its up to us to make it burn bright
So bright that it blinds our whole sight
