Nove Otto of Roses
By Fox-Trot-9Rose 66. Spending Time
All life is made of hours and days
And months and years, spent in a maze
Of circumstance: we call this time.
The time we spend like currency
Will someday end in bankruptcy,
Our precious years all spent betime. *
So let's not squander what is left
Of all our youthful years bereft,
Surviving this decrepit rhyme.* Betime = (adv.) early.
(To be continued...)
A/N: Here's the last poem of today's batch, a stirring allusion to what is to come in next several peoms... But before that time comes, I must say to you farewell till we meet again... ( ^_^ )
