Happy New Year - Fred Weasley

Christmas passed with a blink of an eye. Soon the remaining months of school would begin. At least is my last year at Hogwarts. I can't wait to start my training afterwards. Becoming an Auror is what I always dreamt since I was a child.

Tomorrow is the last day of the year, New Year's eve. Molly had kindly invited me to spend the holidays over at the Burrow but I already had plans with my parents so I told her that I would come by before the New Year, which meant today. Fred and I also had planned dinner today, he said he wanted to take me somewhere so we could have a proper date without his noisy brothers. I really liked the ideia.

After breakfast I said my goodbyes to my parents who promised to come around the platform before I parted to Hogwarts. Grabbing my trunk I step into the fireplace, grab the floo powder and clearly say "The Burrow".

I could already hear that unique messy sound that always filled the house. The Weasley's had quite a problem to stay silent but that was what made them who they were. A loud, messy, warm and loving family.

- I'm here family! The queen has arrived to the castle! - I said beaming and Ginny, the only one insight, looked at me trying hard not to laugh.

- Mom I thought we weren't allowed to keep snakes as pets. - Ginny provoked with a grinning face.

- Ginevra don't be rude. - Molly said loudly from the kitchen.

- I missed you too littlest Weasley. - I winked at her and she nodded with a smile.

- What about my hugs? I'm not feeling the love today. - I frown opening my arms expectingly.

Ginny came to me, and then Molly appears from the kitchen welcoming me with her momma bear kisses.

- Oh we missed you darling! How was Christmas? - she asked with enthusiasm.

- It was really nice Molly, thank you for the sweater, you know I love them. And yours? - I smile at her.

- I'm glad you liked it my child! You already know, very messy but always a loving holiday. - she looked at me beaming with happiness.

- Yeah I do know. - we chuckled - And where is the rest of the family? - I asked confused.

- Arthur is upstairs arranging something. Ron is picking up Harry and Hermione. They were in Diagon Alley. - I nod so she would continue - Percy went to his flat two days ago. Bill and Fleur will be spending New Year's eve alone. Charlie couldn't come but he offered me and Arthur a two day stay in a fine resort in Paris. We'll use it for tomorrow and the day after. - she informed, her eyes glistening with joy.

- Really? I'm so happy for you Molly, you definitely deserve it. So we'll be spending New Year's eve alone? - I asked hopefully.

- Yes darling, but I hope you keep an eye on these troubling kids. - we laughed as I assured her with a nod - Oh and the twins must be coming today I suppose. - she remembered.
