Surprise.

"I just needed a fix, I guess my timing was right, you had just joined the mix, I was sold, and I needed a taste.
Didn't have to put a lot of work into this girl,
she saw my contentions and gave me world,
I'm in love.

But I will fuck this up.

I know, yeah I know you want me to change,
but I'm fucked in the head, I can't break."

**I HIGHLY suggest listening to this song**

I groan as I roll over, pulling myself up off of my sweat covered sheets, sitting up and swinging my legs over the edge until my feet hit the floor.

I reach down next to the bed, grabbing the whisky bottle and picking up two of the opiates on my bedside table, trying to catch my breath as I place them on my tongue and wash them down with the warm taste that stopped burning my throat years ago.

Well there goes a month of trying to see if I could be sober down the drain, it was a fucking stupid idea anyway.

I can't change.

I got another taste of not wanting to rip my skin from my own body last night, where the demons clawing their way out if my brain subsided, where the light felt like it drowned out the dark for a fleeting moment.

For a moment it all went away.

For a moment I didn't feel like I was sick.

Because of her.

I rest my elbows on my  bare knees, threading my fingers into my damp hair and pull on the roots, trying to drown out the screaming.

"Come back to bed" she purrs, still panting, and I flinch away when I feel her fingers trail down my back.
