Chapter seven; Best Friends.

Everyone left of the Resistance was on the Falcon. Aurora made her way to the piolet seat after making sure Leia was comfortable and saying hello to R2. 

"Hey Chewie," Aurora smiles as he gave her a warm hug and sat in his seat. 

"I know," Aurora replies as Chewie roars gently, making her laugh, "They are called Porgs Chewie."

Chewie growled in reply, gently nudging one out of his way as it walks along the dashboard of the Falcon. Leia walks into the cockpit, sitting behind Chewie with a sigh. Aurora felt a dreaded sharp hit to her heart, blinking away tears as she looked over to her mum, who held the same expression. Luke was gone. Kylo Ren's anger got the best of him, killing Luke. She and Rey were the only last knowing Jedi left, it was up to them and the Resistance. 

"Mum," Aurora mutters, turning in her seat, taking Leia's hand. Leia held onto it tightly, looking up to her daughter with a small sad smile. 

"I know, I felt it too," Leia replies. 

Chewie roared softly, making Leia smile, patting Chewie's shoulder with her free hand, "Yes Chewie," Leia turned back to her daughter, squeezing her hand gently, "You and Commander Solo can get us out of here."

"Your boyfriend is cute,"

Aurora looked up at Adam as he walked into the cockpit, she was sat in the piolet seat, the chair turned around to face the one behind it, she feet kicked up on it. 

"I know," She smiled as he sat in the seat next to her. 

"Where is Chewie?" 

"Teaching Finn how to play that hologram game he loves," Aurora answers, leaning back in her seat, "He is trying to help Finn distract himself from trying to think about Rose." 

Adam hums, "How was life without me for awhile?" 

"Awful, didn't know how I got through it," Aurora sarcastically replies with a teasing smile as Adam chuckles, "How was training with Uncle Luke?" 

"I didn't do anything," Adam answers, "I mainly saved those Progs from Chewie, Rey did the training." 

"But I think the Progs apricate being saved," 

Rey sits down opposite Adam as Aurora smiles. She watches as Adam and Rey share a small look before nodding to herself. 

"You know," Adam and Rey turn to her, both about to say something but Aurora just shakes her head, "That night at the temple, I was thirteen, I have spent fifteen years hoping my brother would come back, fifteen years with a broken family, I have never told anyone the full story, Uncle Luke knew what he saw but not what I did and I will never tell anyone because I will not let my last memory of my real brother be a dark one that turned him into Kylo Ren."

"We are sorry Aurora," Rey replies, giving her a small smile, "We will get him back." 

Aurora just returns the small smile, before pointing between the two, "What happened between you two?" 

Adam blushed as Rey stuttered out an excuse turning bright red as Aurora gave her a deadpan look. Finn wondered in, patting Aurora's boot before she moved her legs off the chair, letting him take the seat opposite her. Noticing Adam and Rey's blushed faces and Aurora's cheeky smile. 

"What did I miss?" 

"Nothing," Aurora winked at Rey, "Just girl talk."

"I have been sat here the entire time," Adam gave Aurora a look. 

Aurora turned to Finn with a smirk, "Girl talk." 

Finn chuckles as Adam rolls his eyes and Rey giggles, "What about you and Poe?" 

"What about me and Poe?"

Rey just raised a brow at her, "You know, when did you finally get together?"

"This I want to know," Finn smirked, leaning back in his chair, arms crossed over his chest. 

"Know what?" 

Aurora stood as Poe walked in, letting him sit in the piolet seat before sitting on his lap, arm loosely wrapped around his shoulder as his arms wrap around her waist. 

"When you and Aurora finally got together?" Rey replied to Poe, watching as Poe looked up at Aurora as she rolled her eyes. 

"Before she took the x-wing hidden at the bottom of the cruiser and flew herself into danger," Poe answers, "Literally." 

"You owe me fifty credits," Adam smirks at Finn as both Poe and Aurora frown looking between the two. 

"What?"

"Where you betting on us?" 

"Yeah," Finn answers honestly, "When we heard there were two Resistance piolets on board, there were rumors that they were hopelessly in love and that one was being tortured-"

"It was like everyone was making up a romance novel," Adam finishes as Poe and Aurora stare blankly between the two. 

"So you betted on us, when?" Aurora asks. 

"When we first met you," Adam answers, "Whilst you two were talking about stealing a TIE fighter, Poe looked at Aurora like she was everything to him so we made a bet to see which one of you would finally confess their feelings." 

"But then we crashed and we thought Poe died," Finn shrugs, but then clicks his fingers pointing at Poe, "Then you came back to life but then I had a lightsabre run up my spine, Rey went to train with Luke and now we are all here." 

Everyone was silent for a moment, Poe's arms tighten around Aurora's waist as she leans back into him move, "When did you think we were going to confess our feelings for each other?" 

"I said in a few weeks," Adam answers, "Which it has been."

"I said in the middle of a battle field when either one of you maybe- or defiantly when one of you are dying," 

Rey smacked Finn's arm as Poe and Aurora looked at each other, pondering for a second, "That would of been cool." 

"I agree," Poe nods, "Not the dying part, just in the middle of the battle field kinda thing. It's dramatic." 

Aurora hummed in agreement as the others look at them with faces that could only be described as weirded-out. Adam and Rey shared a look as Finn pinched his browed together in slight confusion before chuckling with a smile, 

"You guys are made for each other."
