Produce 48 trainees have just carried out their first mission last 24th of May, which featured only 92 contestants. Media reports claimed that four Japanese trainees, including Tanaka Miku (HKT48), Tsukiashi Amane (HKT48), Uemura Azusa (NMB48) and Umeyama Cocona (NMB48), have decided to drop out of the competition, with reasons still unknown.

In response to this, Mnet simply stated, "We cannot confirm the departure of contestants during the show. Please find out through the broadcast."

Mnet's "Produce 48" will premiere on 15th June at its regular timeslot of 11PM KST.
