and i know i'm always giving harry crap for heading in the synth pop route but at least he actually puts a snippet of emotion into his music as a mainstream artist. at least the song fine line had a sort of (dare i say) motion picture soundtrack esque feel to it, in the sense that it builds up into a nice cacophony of sound near the end (but make it pop) and at least some of his lyrics actually make sense, rather than just a rant about how you're gonna murder your ex for who knows what like that one chart topper. and not to start making this about louis like everything else i talk about, but i really admire his music for being pop music and being unafraid to fluctuate between different pop subgenres. she is beauty with the dancier edge, face the music with a pop punk sort of feel, and his LYRICS actually painting a beautiful picture for the listener to invision, like in saturdays. whereas most chart toppers nowadays just talk about the same yada yada about loving yourself and buying yourself flowers as if anyone cares. a bit of actual individuality in your music would do ya good, chartoppers
