I am a huge sucker for character development.  Books and movies where people have to react to difficult situations and grow from them--Crime and Punishment, Les Misérables, etc.--are fascinating to me.  I love exploring the different ways people deal with guilt, mercy, and forgiveness.

My favorite parts of the writing process are world-building, developing characters, and deciding on themes.  Basically, I analyze the heck out of my own novels!  Of course, things are rarely as clean-cut as they sound; the stories that unfold so beautifully in my mind often take a lot of effort to share with the world.  But the challenge is what makes it fun, and I have wonderful supporters helping me!
