@perrypengi was thinking about it and like in one book he simultaneously was sent back to being a pre-teen and embraced old age like ??? the contrast ?? scrumptious. but it’s so nice to think that maybe it’s a tribute to the fans too. looking forward to the next book. have been re-reading the original pjo books and it’s so warm to have this comfort series, i love their dynamics SO MUCH

also i just finished the chalice of the gods and ahhh i love it so much! my favourite scene has to be the one when percy is fighting geras. the message about embracing old age and growing up with your loved ones is so comforting, and it feels like a tribute to all the older readers who grew up with the books. ahh and the dynamics of the three of them, and the percabeth scenes! very nice. also sorry i take such a long time to reply lol
