Stormy Rain Stevens

Stormy is a 51 year-young writer living in Central Kentucky, the Bluegrass state, the Thoroughbred horse capital of the world, and where some of the world's finest Bourbon is made! Indeed, she lives on the great Bourbon Trail in a part of Kentucky rich with history.

Stormy and her husband live on their farm surrounded by dense woods which make them feel like they have the universe to themselves unless their three sons and six grandbabies come to visit since they live close by, then the whole brood is with them and Stormy loves the chaos that ensues! They also have nine precious dogs who Stormy affectionately calls her babies. They are all senior dogs with various "old age ailments," and Stormy and her husband make sure they have a high quality of life until they are ready to cross over Rainbow Bridge.  "It's never easy to let them go, but they go knowing and feeling how loved they are and how much they will always be missed. They're never alone."

Stormy has self-published one novel, in 2009, which she wrote in 2006 while being without power for eight days. She wrote at her desk where her window looked out on the front yard and by candlelight at night in a ratty, old notebook with a plain ballpoint Bic pen. After the power came back on, she transcribed it into her computer. When she decided to publish, she got so excited and in a hurry that she didn't have it properly edited and she regrets that decision and is rewriting the entire novel.

Along with that novel she is working on several other books, some of which are a brand-new series and others are planned standalone books.

Along with reading and writing, Stormy loves to crochet, sketch, craft, and spend time with her family, her fur babies, and her friends.
