Stories are what make us human. Sometimes I wonder about humanity, about how well we're really going to do moving forwards. I admit oftentimes I'm more worried than anything else. But there is good in us.
Not everybody can see it, but mixed in with all the mean, cruel, and hurtful parts of current human activity, there's still love.
And that part I think is what gives me hope. I believe 100%, without an ounce of doubt, love is what's going to carry us forward. We will get nowhere if we do not accept everyone for who they are, and learn to give people the benefit of the doubt. Too much time is wasted hating and aiming painful jabs at each other.
As kids we could overlook it.
These days? Everywhere you look there seems to be another suicide, another person who wants nothing more than their own death. I know the feeling. I was one of those people.
But now I want to help people. I may not be able to meet all of them, face to face, but if I could write a book, a book that they could read and just be released from whatever pain they might be holding, if I could write that book...
My life would be fulfilled.
If I can help relieviate the stress that someone is going through, and give them relief, even for a short period of time, that would be more satisfactory to me than winning any medal, any award, or being paid any amount of money. All I want is to help.
