Simen Oem lives in Siem Reap, Cambodia. After studying political economy and anthropology in Europe and America, he moved to the Kingdom of Wonder to teach and write. His first book of essays, "More Than Liquid" was the product of two years of work and three crashed computers. An avid (if terrible) fisherman, river rat, occasional tour guide and full time husband and dad, Mr. Oem has published two books of essays on faith, life and culture in his beautiful, challenging Southeast Asian home.
