Most of my birthdays were trash, we were always poor and my parents always ended up screaming at me.
Yet every birthday I always set some sort of expectations like idk be treated nicely or have a dinner with some cake maybe a few gifts. Not that I really cared for gifts I only cared about being cared for. Always met with disappointment.
Today I don’t care if I get treated like shit, it’s just a normal day, I’m finally okay with that. Idk if that’s my depression talking or my growth idk ✨
