Wattpad Serial Writer's Guild

Come in, welcome! This is the home for all serial writers on Wattpad, or those who write stories and publish their updates as they write them without the intention of forming them into a novel. These are the writers who push the limit on parts in Wattpad stories and have rapid fans demanding their next update for the week and love every minute of it! The art of serial writing has a rich history, and while some may think that it is a newer invention thanks to the internet, it is nearly as traditional as books themselves. Often, writers submitted their works to newspapers, and they would be released chapter by chapter to the public on a timeline. Think of it like comics or a TV show, revealing a story over time, rather than releasing it all up front.

Here in the guild, any person is allowed to come in and post and do whichever they want. This is a place for discussing techniques of serial writing, talking about successful ones (no advertising please), and working on ideas, including finding co-writers. It's always open to everyone!

However, any person who wants to become a card-carrying member (which they can post to their profile and all that!) will have to send us a PM with a link to their serial story. If you've got a serial story it needs to have at least 10 published parts before you can be considered a member, but you will not lose membership for eventually finishing your work. Just submit the link in PM and then you'll get a response, just like that!
