I am a best-selling author of non-fiction, and former columnist for a leading North American newspaper. Follow me as I work on my first novel – a controversial literary fiction with an intriguing "first."
Earlier I earned two Masters degrees from highly regarded schools in Canada: a Masters in Education (M.Ed.) from University of Toronto/OISE, and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. Reading contemporary literature and writing have been lifelong pursuits of mine.
Professionally I have had several non-fiction books published on the subject of careers and work search. In this regard I have been a regular columnist for several of the most visited websites in the U.S. and Canada.
Now I am finally turning my sights to the realm of writing fiction. Follow my journal entries on my blog (http://www.MarkDSwartz.com) and commentary on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/markdswartz2) as I chronicle the arduous endeavors of a novice novelist.
Please feel free to comment and share in this exciting journey. I will transparently inform you of each step I take along the way, so that others may one day have an easier time shifting from non-fiction writing to fiction.
Sincerely,
Mark D Swartz
p.s. I use my middle initial not pretentiously but because there's already a novelist out there by the name of Mark Swartz. He's a New Yorker, I'm a Torontonian.
