If someone abuses you with their words do not sink to their level and call them something back. And the thing is, even if you do say something back, that person would probably use what you say against you. If they're low enough to insult you in the first place then it clearly shows they're not worth you getting angry and fighting back. They clearly have an issue if they feel the need to insult you, whether it be due to a conflict between you and them or not. "It does not befit the lion to answer the dog" be the lion in this case. There is no point replying to someone who is insulting you, instead remain silent because then you yourself can know you did a good thing.
