The thing I love about authors is that they're creators. No matter what the world throws at them - death, heartbreak, sickness, disaster, reality - they retain their imagination. And imagination, to me, is the most important gift we as human beings have been given.
That's why I aspire to be an author. Because I want to be able to keep that one childish thing that we're born with, but that most of us lose. Our imaginations can help us in many ways- can carry us away from our current situation, can give us something to aspire to, or in the cases of authors, musicians, artists etc, our imaginations can make us money.
