RUGHT????? when i opened wattpaf after two years everyone had kpop themes when i was the only one at the time. it was so weird

everyday i wake up and remember somewhere out there theres someone (read: nonpoc/pwc) who will 'fancast' a character out there ethnicity.

@cultemis — oh ok , cause i’m black and  i totally get what you mean. like they when they said the characters a dark skin but they “ blush a deep shade of red. ” yeah i hate that

@troyesivanluvr i guess "whitewash" is a better way to see it, but sometimes ill go there fancast books and see a canonically poc(example: black) character fancasted as a white person. or when they ignore a physical description of a character and cast someone who doesn match them in any way. i do understand the point of fancasting is a fan's personal cast of their favorite book or movie, but its extremly harmful to completely erase that characters race
