Thinking of writing a short story based on a dream I had a couple of weeks ago. This is the first paragraph I wrote.

"It has been years. There are no stories of girls swathed in silk-spun dresses or calloused hands clutching swords. There are no quiet murmurs of rescue that build like the gritty snowfall that threatens to drown us each winter. Our clothes are rotting on our bodies, matted with sweat and grime. Our hands are empty, scars trailing down once soft palms."

☆ really cool announcement!! ☆

I made another short film about my book! It's based off chapter 19, and I'm really proud of how it turned out :)

"the short film was a scene adapted from the book I'm writing- from the chapter that holds the same name, about a missing girl waking up in a place full of darkness, surrounded by old lore and memories that aren't hers.

I always imagined the scene, if it were in a movie, to play out with the song "Lonesome Town by Ricky Nelson" playing solomley in the background.

I planned this idea out 1am after one of my many imaginary scenarios took flight and I then realized I could create it myself. I sketched out around 30 frames I wanted to film, and the next day I did a 'test version.' it worked, so the following weekend, I shot the auctual short film in this cool abandoned graffiti house that I'd found a few years back.
