Hi,

My name is James Law and I live near Portsmouth on the South Coast of the United Kingdom. I’ve been writing for several years now (and fortunately for you all, reading for even longer!).  I enjoy writing in most styles and have had a few articles published along the way.  I enjoy entering short story competitions and am also beginning to tackle blogging, but it is in novel writing that I enjoy the most.

I have dabbled with several genres and my first completed manuscript was simply entitled ‘She’.  It was a gritty ‘no holds barred’ and gruesome account of a female psychopath who believed she was a vampire and relentlessly tracked a family with twin daughters in the belief that their blood would feed her for an eternity.  Awesome eh?….. Nope.  It was as appalling as it sounds and will never see the light of day.  I sometimes read a few paragraphs when i’m in the mood and it always makes me cringe.  But finishing that MS set me on the road of realising that I needed  more than just a pen and paper to be a writer.
