Hey, everyone! I’ve heard that the Big W is shutting down the DMs early next month, and I think I understand why. Those creeps that I talked about way earlier in my messages, when I had to change my profile picture several times, had used the DMs to their advantage, trying to get me to date them, was beyond creepy; it was unsafe as well. So, I had to change my profile picture back to “Anonymous Mode” after those creeps started spamming me. On top of that, I have also had fake messages from those pretending to be from legitimate publishers, and they were out to steal my book, if you know what I mean. So, I think it’s a good thing, even if it is inconvenient for many of us.
Speaking of inconvenient, my laptop computer died this past Tuesday, just when I needed it most, and the damage done to it from overheating is unbelievable. The internal bubble protecting the motherboard expanded, and now my computer can’t even power on entirely, even though the power button still works. I’m going to need to save up over a thousand dollars to get a new replacement and get a professional tech wizard to transfer my files from my old one to my new one. And if that means selling my crocheted items and saving up my monthly allowance to do it, so be it. But either way, it looks like I’ll have to go without a laptop computer for a long while, at least until I get a new one. For me, it’s an inconvenient setback to my dream of finally publishing a story of my own, since I can’t write my stories on my computer for a long while. It’ll be like forever before I finally have enough dough to get a new computer and get a tech wizard to transfer my files from my old computer to my new one.
