IF YOU CAN is my first novel, at just over 80,000 words. During my sophomore year of high school, I wrote a short story entitled "Forecasting Ohio," which won the Dave Patton Award for Best Story by a Varsity Athlete. I was one of three chosen out of over 600 submission to receive a cash prize of $200 and a donation of $100 to my school. Additionally, I am honored that my advocacy work will be featured in the ACLU magazine in the near future. I am a speaker for the Poor People's Campaign, am the founder of a youth activist organization, Triangle People Power, and have worked with March For Our Lives students in organizing a rally for gun reform.
