Hey there! I'm sorry I didn't see your message until today, but I'm really glad you're enjoying it! There were a lot of inspirations for this story, mostly from the stories I read and loved as a kid, A Little Princes, The Secret Garden, and Mandy, which probably accounts for the feel the story has.
