I've been thinking a lot about what's really important to me lately with the new year coming up. First, my independence is important to me. I'm in love with the idea that I can choose any path I wish. My future is limitless. Second, who I am as a person is important to me. I'm the type of girl that doesn't swear, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't watch R rated movies. People think I'm crazy for it but I feel like I'm a better, more clear-minded person because of it. Third, my friends and family are important to me. With this move I've made, I lost a lot of friends who I thought were always going to be there for me. I always just thought that we'd be as close now as we were then. But life isn't like that. You hit the ground running and that's all you get. A chance. So I've taken my chances and instead of spending this next year moping over the people I've lost and friends I've been betrayed by, I'm going to start clean and create a new outlook on life. I'm sorry if this is too long for you to read but I just thought, I need the reminder. Maybe someone else does too. Don't focus on the past or you'll miss out on all of the amazing things that are going to happen in your future. This is life and you get one shot at it so don't waste another moment being sad when you can be getting successful in something. Happy New Year everyone.
