maturing is realizing that the trope (?) where character A doesn't talk to her significant other about what's bothering her because she doesn't want to worry about character B which leads it/the problem to fester or any miscommunication/misunderstanding trope is so frustrating and extremely annoying.
especially when they spent all this time wallowing when they could have solved it maturely like adults through proper communication
