he was a normal boy until he found a notebook. a notebook called the death note. if a name is written in this notebook, the person whose name is written will die. he is using this notebook to rid the world of criminals and other terrible people who he thinks are unworthy of living. he is trying to create a new world with only good people. only people who deserve to live. he is passing righteous judgement as if he were a GOD. only the worthy may exist in his new and perfect world. he is also managing to keep his two lives separate: light yagami and kira, the name given to the unknown individual who is killing all these criminals.
