Justin Craycraft was promoted to Distinguished Solution Engineer in 2022. He is mainly concerned with Embedded Analytics in his Distinguished Solution Engineer post. Embedded Analytics aims to standardise data analysis and other forms of business intelligence. It involves unlocking data analysis to users of applications in support of a wide variety of use cases spanning from powering analytics for conventional ISVs, buyer and supplier analytics, data monetisation, customer experience, and healthcare.

Craycraft worked at several major software companies for over a decade before joining Tableau. These companies include Thoughtworks, Digby, and Perimeter Power.

From 2011 to 2014, Craycraft operated as a Solution Engineer at ThoughtWorks, a worldwide leader in software development tools and agile software delivery for high-value, high-risk projects across numerous industries. Throughout his career, Craycraft oversaw technical solution engineering strategies and deliverables for several clients, including Macy's, Nike, JP Morgan Chase, Fandango, Expedia, NBC Universal, Ancestry.com, Entertainment Partners, Carfax, and CareerBuilder.

Craycraft worked with Digby for a year as a Solution Engineer before moving on to ThoughtWorks. Digby is the industry standard for mobile payment processing. It also focuses on consumer interaction solutions for merchants such as Godiva, Golfsmith, Home Depot, Lilly Pulitzer, and Petco.

In addition, Craycraft co-founded Perimeter Power in 2008. Anyone in the retail energy industry will find their answer in Perimeter Power. Perimeter Power's platform automates managing, quoting, acquiring, and onboarding customers.

Craycraft was an early investor in Perimeter Power and the company's Product Manager from its inception in 2002 until 2010. Besides Tableau, Thoughtworks, Digby, and Perimeter Power, Craycraft has worked with several software and technology firms.
