Twenty-six year old Jessica Burkhart (aka Jess Ashley.) is a writer from Brooklyn. Obsessions: Twilight, purses, shoes, makeup, fashion, unicorns, VS PINK, pink, sparkly things, reality TV and horses. Jess was an equestrian before she started writing. She wrote the 20-book Canterwood Crest series for Aladdin MIX (Simon & Schuster). Over 500,000 copies of Canterwood Crest books are in print.
Her first young adult essay, TRUST IS AS IMPORTANT AS LOVE, appears in the anthology--DEAR TEEN ME.
Jess's chapter book debut is in June 2014 with Unicorn Magic--a fantasy series for kids ages 6-8.
In 2015, Jess's first YA novel, WILD HEARTS, publishes from Bloombury.
In addition to writing novels, Jess is also working on e-novellas and e-books. Some will carry on the Canterwood Crest story line. Others will be non-fiction and a few will be new, exciting stories unrelated to Canterwood.
