Every book should be a standalone book for both novelist and the reader. I can think of nothing that will frustrate a reader more than a novelist who gives up Midway through a book that a reader is committed to. If you start the novel and have an audience you do owe it to that audience to complete the novel for good or bad but to bring it to an end. Where's your end?

@LaurieBanninger I have left this account and pretty much stopped writing at the moment. For the past few years ive been dealing with personal issues as well as moving on to new hobbies and activities. Sorry if this disappoints you.
