1. When our universe was born
          	So, so very long ago,
          	Uncountable events took place;
          	The creation of dichotomy,
          	Formation of star systems,
          	Microorganisms evolving into
          	Fascinating lifeforms -
          	Only to be destroyed
          	By the beast's corrupted will.
          	Supernovae befell,
          	Planets went rogue,
          	And the greatest
          	Forces of life
          	Were brought to
          	A halt.
          	All things come to an impasse,
          	Yet that is what must transpire -
          	For to finish a dichotomy,
          	All must be destroyed;
          	For all has been created.

          	2. So forth comes our conjunctive apathy,
          	An inversion
          	Of that we which would use
          	To achieve greatness.
          	The most extensive force I had ever known
          	Was that of yours and mine
          	When we were one and the same;
          	A collective paragon of
          	Purity.
          	...
          	Inevitably, even the brightest,
          	Most brilliant shining stars
          	Fizzle out;
          	Insoforth is brought to the universe
          	A colossal,
          	Yet that much more of an
          	Inconsequential
          	Clump of misery.

          	3. And so I demand of you:
          	Did your Earth not tremble
          	The essence of your being fractured whole;
          	Tremors resonating from
          	The incomprehensible
          	Abyssal
          	Unfathomable pestilence
          	Residing within the
          	Caverns of hell -
          	When the beast's will was seen to
          	And so, as He wished;
          	Demolished the very collective
          	Known as you and I?

How curious that such great things can be achieved over colossal stretches of time, yet they can meet a terrifyingly dilatory impasse at any moment in time, regardless of logic or reason; regardless of any aegis present, no matter how robust or durable. It is further curious that the caustifying of a strong connection between two people can have unfathomably different effects on the parties involved; one party may be rendered unaffected, yet the other is affected inversely; they are damaged; their mind has been rewired by the trauma, and as such, they will never be the same. It is immensely difficult to believe that a close romantic bond can become a toxic, pestilent repulsion...yet, simultaneously, it is blatantly obvious that the universe would create such dichotomous relationships; if all things must end, then an opposing force must present that which must face its last moments, effectively tearing it limb from limb, whether at speed of light or slower than can be contemplated by the human mind.
