EDITOR. AUTHOR. WEB DESIGNER. MOM. WIFE.

So, I wear a lot of hats.

I've been writing since I could hold a pen and grasp the fine art of sentence structure. My earliest influences were Laura Ingalls Wilder and Carolyn Keene; later, I developed a deep appreciation for the Bronte sisters and Jane Austen. All of these authors taught me plot development, love of character, and a passion for romance, however subtle it might be.

At an early age, I decided I was going to write trashy romance novels. This occurred sometime after spending all of my weekly babysitting money on Harlequins purchased from the grocery store shelves and read illicitly under the covers at night. I begged my friends to co-author with me in middle school, endured character names such as 'Chalcedonye' [sorry, Sarah...], and probably still have dozens of half-baked love stories about princes and fair maids scattered here and there.

But life, as it frequently does, bumbled its way in, and in the intervening years, I became a wife, mother, teacher, and later, a stay-at-home mom with not nearly enough time to do something as silly as writing.

It wasn't until now...in my mid-forties [yes, I'm OLD]...that I decided to take matters into my own hands and write my little stories once again.

And I'm so, so glad I did.

Thank you for reading, commenting, and sharing.
