I used to want to write deep literary stories, the ones you find in literature classes that kids tear their hair out all day to write an essay about. But that conflicted with the side of me that really just wanted to draw silly cartoons all day and crack esoteric jokes. So now I just write whatever I want and if it somehow gets a finished first draft we go from there.
