@deathsresolved *she locked eyes with him, waiting for the trigger to be pulled, and she could feel her heart racing at the thought of her life ending this way. death was inevitable, there’s almost no way to avoid it unless you meet the right people or end up in the right — or wrong — places. she wasn’t afraid of dying, but more so of what came after death and where she would end up... and then, the trigger was pulled. she didn’t flinch, nor did she break eye contact, but she did exhale the breath she held out of relief, but it wasn’t over. she had to be careful now. slowly, one of her hands grabbed ahold of his wrist to point the gun away from her, tearing her gaze away to glance down at the body that laid on the floor.* we need to get rid of his body and clean this up, and then we can go home. i won’t tell anyone, but... let’s just deal with this for now.

@seesdead,
            * he had a feeling she'd step closer to him, despite the loaded gun in his grasp. what he didn't expect though, was for her forehead to be pressed against the barrel like it was now. his seemingly dead gaze was locked on hers as his index finger rested idly on the trigger. his subconscious was telling him to pull the gun away, if he knew what was good for him— but there was that voice, that he spent years learning how to block out, that managed to cloud his mind, telling him to pull the trigger and add another body to his kill count. he was almost mute, and not in a good way— the silence from him, and the nonchalant body movements he made, it was eerie. what they didn't know is that he wouldn't remember this tomorrow, but what he did know? there was only one bullet in the chamber. * you're gonna wish you never said that. * with an eldritch whisper, he sure as hell decided to take his chances— so with that, he pulled the trigger. like anticipated, from his part, no bullet came out. she was still standing there, alive and breathing. *

@deathsresolved *the more he spoke, and the closer she got, the voices around her weren’t exactly the kindest. certain spirits around her were concerned, and others were waiting to witness her own demise, yet she still persisted. she had to rely on herself and her own instincts to really get through this.* but i’m not like him. i’m not him, hayden. you wouldn’t hurt me because you love me, right? don’t you? you don’t want to hurt me. *those last words repeated in her head like a mantra. she wanted — no, needed to cling onto something to maintain hope. it wasn’t until she was finally close enough to the gun when reality struck, and everything went silent. carefully, she moved a bit closer, allowing her forehead to press against the barrel of the gun with a shaky inhale. she knew what she had to do.* i still don’t plan on leaving here without you. so, prove me wrong and do it. kill me.
