David Fachman, Founder and President:

David began his professional career in entertainment in 1984 when he founded PromoWest Productions, Inc., a concerted marketing and production company. As Vice President and Co-Owner of the Company, David was responsible for both daily operations and the technical production requirements of Touring Acts playing at the company's concert venues. David staged around 250 concerts and events every year over his 14-year career, in settings ranging from modest 1700-seat theaters to multi-day outdoor festivals attended by over 200,000 people.
David teamed up with art and design faculty at The Columbus College of Art and Design in 1993 to start The Scarefactory, Inc., a three-dimensional design and manufacturing firm that fuses art and technology to create stunning animated monsters and their scenic environs.
PromoWest was one of three partners in the $11 million, 22,000-seat Polaris Amphitheater's construction in 1994. David was on-site for the majority of the project's building period. He then served as Producer for the debut season's performers, which included The Eagles, Janet Jackson, and Phil Collins.
David opened his first theme park attraction in 1995, which he manages in conjunction with the Six Flags family of parks.
The Scarefactory introduced its first catalog line of characters and props to the Themed Attraction Industry in 1996.
On July 17, 1997, David and his wife Alice welcomed their son Cameron into the world. David continues to create a variety of events, most notably stadium tour dates for U2's Popmart Tour and The Rolling Stones Bridges to Babylon Tour. In 1998, as the music business started to consolidate, SFX, Inc. acquired the Polaris Amphitheater. David sells his stake in PromoWest to focus exclusively on The Scarefactory, Inc.

Since 1998, The Scarefactory has grown steadily and currently serves over 250 clients annually.
