lance flinched slightly , the girl’s voice snapping him out of his daze .  “ oh ! pidge , hey !  i didn’t see ya there , ” he said as he turned slightly to face her . 
            
            the boy remained silent for a second as he tried to figure out how he didn’t notice her .  he decided it must have been because of how exhausted he was . 
            
            “ yeah , ” he replied with a nod .  “ i’m just tired .  i was training for about two hours . ”

            pidge sat in the seating area, her legs crossed underneath the light weight of her body while her laptop sat on her lap and her eyes were glued to the screen. even at the sound of a soft '' whoosh '' from the door opening, the tiny girl didn't look up, when the person entered and didn't announce themselves she still didn't look up. it wasn't until the uneven breathes of the person caught the attention of green paladin did she decide to look up. 
            
            she was a bit startled seeing the cuban boy besides her and it looks like he didn't notice her either. " oh, hey . " the girl greeted, glancing down quickly and then looking at him again. " you okay , lance ? 

" i'm so happy to see you! " devin says, hugging her tightly.

            pidge grinned at the younger girl, " hey, little one ! "

            robyn didn’t respond .  instead , they scanned the small girl in front of them and the area around her , trying to figure an escape route .  preferably one that allowed them to keep most of their limbs intact .  
            
            they took a slow step back , watching the girl in the dim light in case she tried anything .  “ what i’m doing should be pretty obvious , ” robyn said , finally answering her question , but ignoring the first .

            pidge   remained   fixed   at   the   doorway   ,   glaring   at   the   figure   in   the   dark   .   determined   ,   the   girl   aimed   her   bayard   at   the   person   and   slowly   began   advancing   .   "   who   are   you   and   why   are   you  here   ?   "   her   voice   sounded   hard   and   sure   despite   her   petite   figure   .   if    the   thief   in   tried   anything   ,   pidge   wouldn't   hesitate   to   attack   .

            robyn let out a string of curse words when they realized that there where no hiding spots that could hide someone their size .  a small child , maybe , but not them .  they turned towards the exit of the room when they heard footsteps approaching quickly , cursing yet again .  if only robyn had brought something to carry everything in , they wouldn’t be in this position .  then again , they also wouldn’t be in this position if they hadn’t made the last minute decision to stop here . 
            
            the sixteen year old was about to try to run out of the room when whoever had been chasing them appeared in the doorway .  they sighed , taking a few steps back , still carrying the items they had stolen .
