Hi everyone, bigimp here (author of The Painted Altar, Kill Who You Want, The Third Shadow and The Scent of Death).
After the inevitable round of rejections by UK publishing agents, I have now posted my latest work, The Trail Killer., in its entirety onto the site. Set in 1986 in rural England, the story revolves around the wrongful arrest of an Indian immigrant for the murders of two young women along a local hiking trail. Though intended primarily as a twisty, suspenseful page-turner, the novel also explores the themes of racial prejudice and gender inequality. At 100,000 words, it is also my longest work to date.
Once rejected by the publishing world, it's always a real honour and motivational factor for me to share my work with my wattapad followers and know that my efforts haven't been completely in vain. I hope you will enjoy it.
In the meantime I'll keep plugging away and who knows maybe one day the stars will align and I'll finally get something published.
Thanks so much for your support. As always, your comments and votes will be immensely appreciated.

@bigimp Hello there. What a shame that no publishing agents accepted your book yet. Perhaps it simply means that your big deal is yet to come, so keep up the good work! I thoroughly enjoyed your three stories here on Wattpad, and I can't wait to dive into The Trail Killer.

Hi everyone, bigimp here (author of The Painted Altar, Kill Who You Want, The Third Shadow and The Scent of Death).

I've spent the last two years working on a crime thriller entitled The Trail Killer and am now almost ready to submit it to UK publishing agents. Before I do, I wonder if I could call on your help a little? I direct this appeal particularly to readers of Indian/Hindu origin.

The novel is set in 1986 and features an Indian immigrant family, the Kaurs. As a white guy, I'm obviously outside my comfort zone with this. If you have 10-15 minutes to spare at some point before the end of August, I'd be immensely grateful if you could take a look at the extracts I've posted on the site (there's a link below). I would be incredibly interested to hear your opinions on my portrayal of the family, if there are any details which need to be corrected and if there is anything that offends you.

I promise that there are no serious plot spoilers in the extracts, and that after the inevitable avalanche of rejections I'll post the novel up in its entirety onto the site - at some point in the autumn, most probably.

Thanks so much for your time and support.
