Thank you for the follow! Plus, I like "Into the Twilit Gloom" so far, I need to read more :-)

@YorkRoss I think it was just wattpad being wattpad! Ah okay, I'll start there! Thank you very much – I hoped you enjoyed the story :)

Yeah, I was also wondering. I thought we already were connected and then this message showed up ... ;-) Anyway, thanks for your interest, I would suggest "The Blanked Cold" as a starter (readers seem to like it most :-) ). And additional comments for "Twilit Gloom" are coming!

Hi! If you’re reading this, I hope you’re doing well.

If you’re on my profile you’ve probably noticed I’ve removed a few of my stories. Unfortunately, one of my works (A Raven’s Wing) was caught up in the rollout of this new scanning/AI system, and it was flagged as inappropriate. Anyone who’s read A Raven’s Wing will know this was a bit daft! Unfortunately, though the situation has now been resolved, Wattpad Support were less than supportive. I can only say how disappointed I am after so many constructive interactions over the past ten years.

Because of this, I’ve taken the decision to remove many of my works, and to post some of them elsewhere. I will be taking most of my stories to Inkitt for the time being. I’m still making up my mind as to whether I will be posting anything new here on Wattpad, but what is available now is likely to remain for the foreseeable future.

The stories that will now also be available on Inkitt are: Damien, Into the Twilit Gloom, and all my Nowhere is Final shorts. Future instalments of Nowhere is Final (including Damien’s sequel and Eliza’s novella Pursuit) will be shared there, and I am making my mind up about whether they will be Inkitt exclusive. I may also share some flash fiction there in the future!

The stories that won’t be reposted on Inkitt are: the A Demon’s Descent duology and its accompanying novella Forest Fey, Forest Fell, the A Raven’s Wing’s sequel A Midnight Dreary, and my short story collection as it stood here on Wattpad. I’m going to treat these stories as ‘retired’ (some are nearly ten years old!) and I don’t intend on sharing them online again. Nowhere is Final 1 and Nowhere is Final: The Ava Experiment also won’t be moving as they are available on other accounts, and involve other writers. As such, Wattpad is the place they will stay.

@YorkRoss You're welcome! I've mostly worked offline since about 2020ish and only posted to wattpad when I'm finished, I find it less stressful and easier to make changes that need to be made – the downside is no constant stream of deadlines to keep me on target ahaha. Good luck with your own work!! :)

@amaryll28 Makes perfect sense! And thanks for sharing how you work. I'm mostly offline still and this really helps :-)

@YorkRoss No worries! At the moment I'm still in the process of moving things over to inkitt, and my works on wattpad won't be going anywhere unless wattpad decides so! I may end up posting new things on wattpad again in the future so everything is consistent – but right now I'm focusing on editing things to move them elsewhere (it's a good opportunity to shine things up a bit), and also on finishing things offline :)

Hi, I've stumbled across your profile and your stories look pretty cool! I just have a few questions, if you don't mind answering them: What are the Ambys, and is there a specific reading order for your "Nowhere Is Final" series? <3

SunsetMercer

@amaryll28 You're very welcome! I'm planning on reading your "Nowhere Is Final" series, and you've just been really nice & understanding, so the follow was well-deserved. <33

Really pleased to share that Into the Twilit Gloom was selected to be one of the Ambys Top Picks in the short story fantasy category!! I'm also glad I can finally get on with some of the edits and formatting changes I wanted to do!

Congrats to all the other Top Pick winners, including @AdrielleReina and @dreestories ! There's some amazing stories spotlighted and I can't wait to get cracking on reading them! Everyone who entered did so with brilliant work they were proud of, and I hope that even more awesome writers can be spotlighted in Ambys to come!

Hey Anna!
          Hope you're doing good!

Sorry if this message comes bothersome, but I was starting Forest Fey, Forest Fell and found out that it's a part of a series...

So now I want to read the entire series haha, but I don't know which one to read first.... Could you tell me which order I should go from?

amaryll28

@Silver_Writings That's fair enough! I'm a big fan of working on shorter works, I think they're a great opportunity to practise and get the satisfaction of finishing things without the commitment of a whole novel. I hope it goes well for you and I hope to check some of them out in the future!! :)

@Silver_Writings Thanks! Maybe yeah in the future I'll see if I can find a proper way to move the plot, but rn I'm working some other books and short stories ☺️

@Silver_Writings That's awesome! Endings can definitely be tricky. But getting near the ending is no mean feat either – that's really cool!
No worries, I've taken down works before I'm not happy with too. That's how things roll on wattpad! I hope that if you want to that you can finish it for yourself :)
