Lynn O'Shea serves as the Director of Research for the National Alliance of POW/MIA Families. Using various archives, she locates and provides case specific information to families with loved ones missing in Southeast Asia. Her discovery of the Project X Study and the Tourison Memos are among the documents provided to families. For many these documents confirmed the families long held belief; there loved ones survived into captivity.

Considered an expert on the POW/MIA issue, she testified before Congress on three occasions (1997, 1998, and 2009). In addition to her duties as Research Director, Ms. O'Shea edits the National Alliance of POW/MIA Families monthly newsletter "Bits N Pieces" and maintains their website at www.nationalalliance.org.

Ms. O'Shea participated in numerous interviews for print, web magazines, radio and television, including the Washington Times, FrontPage Magazine, CBS radio and Fox News. She appeared in the award winning documentary "Missing - Presumed Dead." Both Defense Watch Magazine and the U.S. Veterans Dispatch published articles written by Ms. O'Shea.
