I was born on April 10, 1997 to a single mother in Omaha, Nebraska. My family moved a lot as I was growing up. We lived in North Carolina, Kentucky, Kansas, and Alabama before finally settling down in Bellevue, Nebraska. Currently, I live in Wayne, Nebraska where I study accounting and creative writing at Wayne State College.
All my life, I have loved to read and write. At the age of three, my older sister read Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone to me, and I read it on my own at the age of six. By the time I was eight I had written my first story – about a small bunny befriending a larger, scarier bunny to prove that he was brave to all the other little bunnies in the bunny elementary school. At the tender age of 17 I had published my first novella, Trans*, and short story, My Baby.
Currently, I am working on several novel ideas and a collection of short stories.
While writing, I can never sit in silence. Whether I am listening to Frank Sinatra or share my screen with Netflix, I can only coax the words out of me and onto the page if I am accompanied by some form of noise.
