What are you afraid of?

Ask me this one month a ago, I would have just shrugged and moved on without having the need to answer. Ask that to me now, I wouldn't know how to start because now I knew the weight of those five words.

I'm a nurse. A healthcare provider. I'm a daughter. A sister and a friend. I'm someone's cousin and niece. Above all that, I'm human too.

I get scared, yes, but I've never been this scared going home to my loved ones. I know that my fears mirror those of my colleagues. We get heartbroken, we sometimes lose hope. But we can't go back now. We can't just drop our profession like a hot potato. If we all step back, turn around and leave who would take the responsibility to care for you?

We choose to stay in the frontlines because it is better than staying home doing nothing. Please choose to stay at home to help us too. We are risking our lives for people we don't even know, literally. Our families' are at great risk as well. This is our reality now. It's our own version of a dystopian novel yet in real life. It's scary, many have lost their lights fighting and yet we are far from over.

I'll be glad if one or two would take his or her time reading this. Kindly spare a minute to pray for all the our frontliners including their families. If its hard for us being in the frontlines but believe me, it is way harder for them. Pray for every kid waiting for mom and dad to come home. Pray for every parent waiting for their beloved son or daughter. Pray for all the children who lost their mom or dad in this battle. Pray for all the parents who lost their son or daughter in their profession.

          	Pray for the country.

          	Pray for humanity.
