A tone-deaf rocker-at-heart, Susan Helene Gottfried worked in retail record stores, in radio stations, as stage crew, and as a promoter while earning two college degrees in creative writing.

Susan walked away from a continued career in the music industry in order to write books, so it makes sense that most of her fiction revolves around rock bands. Once you get those record stores, radio stations, and fellow roadies and promoters under your skin, they never leave.

In the wake of those memories, West of Mars was created.

West of Mars is home to the Trevolution, a series that encompasses five collections of short stories and two novels that feature bad boy bass player Trevor Effing Wolff and the rest of his fictional band, ShapeShifter.

Read short stories not found in the books, excerpts from the series, more Rock Fiction and short stories, and meet the freelance editor and author behind it all. Check out the website listed below to find the full books and more.
