I’ve put updating my story Dirty Deeds on hold. I’m not sure if I want to continue sharing stories on Wattpad.
I joined Inkitt but I’m not really feeling it either. Or Royal Road. Not sure at this point where to take them but it’s so hard to find and build an audience on here! Anyone else feeling this way?

@Watts_Writes - Wattpad has no incentive to promote engagement with ANY content that is not monetized, meaning, something "original" that requires Wattpad coins to read, or something super-popular that is likely to generate LOTS of advertising revenue from ad clicks. Also, the platform is overcrowded, which is why you'll see stuff promoted that's ten years old, with the writer long gone.

@SeraDrake the community is what keeps me here. I just feel that Wattpad itself doesn’t do much to help writers find audiences. It’s like, what even is the algorithm?

@Watts_Writes Hi! To tell you the truth no matter how some of my friends have come and gone from WP, I still stay here. LOL! I've been to sites before WP but mainly I was "nobody". I don't like that. I look for community and I'm gonna say ... if you want someone (friendly response) to talk to you. One should do the same as well. I've been here since 2014, and know how hard it is to get someone to notice you. So be active, it doesn't come to you as easy as 1,2,3. And I'm an introvert like most here, but I tend to push myself on "stage" in order to be heard! Anyway, whatever you want to do, may you take care! Good luck. Pia
